Solar radiation in the area of Croatia
Thanks to its geographical location, Croatia has very favourable preconditions for using solar energy. In the southern part of Croatia the annual production of fixed photovoltaic system amounts between 1100 and 1330 kWh per installed kWp, while in the continental part of Croatia that number is between 1000 and 1100 kWh per installed kWp. The annual mean solar insolation in the area of the Republic of Croatia is shown in the figure below.
Life on the earth is unthinkable without the Sun. In 30 minutes the Sun delivers more energy to the earth than the entire mankind can spend in a year.
Today solar plants provide electrical energy to entire cities, reducing toxic gas emissions and protecting the environment. Only one kWh of solar-based electrical energy reduces CO2 emissions by 1 kg.
